Helmi’s Natural History Museum is the only natural history museum in Zakynthos. It was inaugurated on 10 August 2000 by Panagiotis Helmis and is housed at a traditional building in Agia Marina. The collections of the museum are divided into sections related to the flora and fauna of Zakynthos. The museum operates exclusively as a private initiative and aims at showcasing the Zakynthian nature in the Greek and international space of Ionian Islands.
