Agalas is a small mountain village situated on the west coast of Zakynthos. It is surrounded by pine trees and olive groves. What makes the village stand out is its special architecture with the old stone houses and narrow alleys. The area is known for its local landmark, the Damianos Cave, a “two-story” cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites. Among the most important monuments of the village are the church with the characteristic steeple and the small museum, the Venetian Wells on the northern part of the village, and the windmill.
