The Collection of post-Byzantine icons is housed on the first floor of the public library building in Marka Square in Lefkada. The collection of the museum includes Ionian art icons created by prominent icon painters like Doxaras, Patsaras, Roussos, Ventouras, Gazis and others as well as icons of Russian art. The icons originate from monasteries and churches of the island, many of which have been destroyed, as well as from private collections. The museum also hosts sacred vestments, religious books and other relics of Orthodoxy from the 16th century onwards.
