Divided on five floors and 37 meters high, the tower is what remains of the ancient Norman castle dating back to the eleventh century. In the nineteenth century it was equipped with a clock measuring 3.45 meters in diameter, making it one of the largest in Europe. On the top there is a bell shrine with a pyramidal roof.
