The Holy Monastery of Kipouria in Kefalonia was founded in 1759 by the hieromonk Chrysanthos Petropoulos-Boykos from Paxos.The monastery was built on a site granted by the old monastery of Saint Paraskevi of Tafio for this purpose, and since then it has never stopped operating.The Monastery celebrates on 25 March which is the day of the Annunciation, on Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross, on the feast of the Cross, and on the day when Saint Paraskevi celebrates, as the icon of Saint Paraskevi from the destroyed Tafiou Monastery is kept here.
