It became Cathedral, replacing the old Cathedral. The interior, a Latin cross, houses the relics of St. Conrad. In particular, the body is preserved under the altar dedicated to him, while a silver bust holds his skull. On the baroque facade, made of Trani’s stone, dominates the statue of St. Ignatius.
The church, built in 1600 by the Jesuits, remains of their relevance until the suppression of the Order in 1767. In 1785, after being restored and enlarged, the remains of St. Conrad were transferred there.
