Title

Chiesa di San Basilio

Build Year: No data available.
Faith: Catholic Church

Small local stone church, with a contracted cross plan. It has a cusp-shaped facade, an architrave door, a single room with a barrel-vaulted apse and a dome in axis, ashlar masonry of various sizes, irregularly laid out. Today it is used as an agricultural warehouse.

Built between the ninth and twelfth centuries. It stands on a site probably frequented already in Roman times. Its location, near Corsignano, suggests that it was annexed to this feud. The title to St. Basil also suggests a probable original belonging to Basilian monks.
